Suggested Meeting Rules

As everyone’s time is precious and each one of us needs our voice to be heard, I suggest the following rules for the meeting.

A. One person speaks at a time. No interruptions or sidebar discussions.
B. State your opinion once and move on.
C. Each person should be succinct so as not to monopolize the time.
D. Each person needs to feel safe to speak their thoughts without fear of criticism.
E. The group will endeavor to stay on topic and time schedule.
F. Respect each person’s dignity; humor about another individual’s flaws is disrespectful.
G. Advice will not be provided to an individual unless he or she requests it.
H. No cross talk.
I. We should not take the meeting or ourselves too serious, we can still have fun, smile, and laugh.
J. We don’t need perfection just progress.
